Quorum Sensing or Quorum Quenching and its Potential Application in Protection Against Disease

Researchers have paid more and more attention on studies of the quorum sensing and quorum quench-ing,considering its alternatives of antibiotics to prevent from emergency of resistant mutant,since the quorum sensing mechanism was revealed.It is no doubt to believe the great valuable quorum quenching for drug develop-ment due to the rapid studies in this field.We reviewed the advance in exploring the quorum sensing and quorum quenching,as well as prospects for developing anti-pathogenic drugs based on quorum quenching mechanism.
