| Abstract: | We isolated and sequenced YL16A and YL16B encoding ribosomal protein YL16 of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The two nucleotide sequences within coding regions retain 91.1% identity, and their predicted sequences of 176 amino acids show 93.8% identity. Out of the ribosomal protein sequences from various organisms currently available, no counterpart to YL16 could be found. |
