Isolation of deuterated histones from yeast grown on media dissolved in H2O |

| Abstract: | We have succeeded in growing Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's yeast) on media containing 2H2O and isolating the core histones highly deuterated in the non-exchangeable positions. The deuterated histones obtained here are of great value for their possible widespread use for structural studies of chromatin. |
