| Abstract: | A procedure is described to convert rates of (14)CO(2) production into rates of mitochondrial acetyl-CoA production from a (14)C-labelled substrate. The principle is illustrated in perfused rat liver and kidney by the differential yield of (14)CO(2) from 4-methyl-2-oxo1-(14)C]valerate and 4-methyl-2-oxo2-(14)C]valerate. |
