Abstract: | Tissue-invasive pollen tube branching occurs in an Australianshrub, Grevillea banksii R.Br. (Proteaceae). Parenchyma andphloem of the ovary wall are soon infiltrated after fertilization,by intercellular branches and the lumina of xylem elements areentered. Ovular tissues are not affected.
