| Abstract: | Fertile fruit-bodies (perithecia) were formed in the single-strain culture (EmA) ofNeurospora crassa in the presence of the sex and fertility-inducing substances isolated from the cross EmA x Ema. Analysis of the progeny showed high mortality and an abnormal segregation ratio. |
