| Abstract: | Ceratophyllum demersum L. and C. muricatum Chamisso are not found to grow together with Hydrilla verticillata (L.f.) Royle in India. An experimental study shows that Hydrilla is allelopathic to the two species of Ceratophyllum and inhibits their growth. Thus, the distribution of Ceratophyllum species is limited by the presence of Hydrilla. |
