| Abstract: | Summary Preferential inhibition of the synthesis of ribosomal RNA by low doses of actinomycin D was used to investigate the quantitative relationship between the intensity of silver staining of nucleoli and the rate of RNA-synthesis. The two parameters were found to be strongly correlated in human diploid fibroblasts. |
