Abstract: | Abstract: The denatured catalytic polypeptide of (Na+, K+)-ATPase of goldfish brain was purified and identified as the 32P-labeled phosphoprotein. The protein served as immunogen for the preparation of rabbit antisera for immunohistochemical application to goldfish tissue sections, using the peroxidase-antiperoxidase indirect method. Labeling in brain cross-sections appears primarily in fibers of the optic nerve layer of the tectum. In optic nerve cross sections, labeling is restricted to fiber bundles. |
