| Abstract: | Soluble proteins in the mycelia of 27 isolates distributing in 23 Pythium species were analysed with electrophoresis on disc polyacrylamise gel slab. The results clearly indicate that protein patterns of conspecific isolates are identical while those of isolates from different species are quite diverse. The comparison between the protein banding patterns of P. kunmingense Yu and P. irregulare Buisman proves that the two species are distinct. |
