| Abstract: | Collagenase pretreatment of frozen-dried sections permits Alcian blue staining of mucopolysaccharides of connective tissue ground substance without the interference of collagen staining. Hyaluronidase elimination of Alcian blue staining confirms mucopolysaccharide as a substrate of the staining reaction. |
