Abstract:We report the use of IC‐OSu ethyl‐Cy3 and ethyl‐Cy5 N‐hydroxysuccinimide ester (NHS) cyanine dyes, which have similar chemical properties as the CyDye? DIGE fluor minimal dyes for pre‐electrophoresis labelling. Multiple sample analyses in different laboratories indicate that the use of IC‐OSu ethyl‐Cy3 and ethyl‐Cy5 NHS ester cyanine dyes produces equivalent results to those obtained with DIGE CyDyes, and allows sample multiplexing and accurate quantitation for differential proteome analysis.
