| Abstract: | Recent studies have shown that the genome of Giardia lamblia is plastic. Clinical isolates exhibit extensive karyotypic heterogeneity and chromosome rearrangements occur frequently, in vitro. In this review, Sylvie Le Blancq looks at genome organization and the impact of DNA rearrangement events. |
