Effect of Glucose on the Induction of the Carbonic Anhydrase and the Change in K1/2(CO2 of Photosynthesis in Chlorella vulgaris llh

Increases in carbonic anhydrase activity and decreases in K_1/2(CO)₂for photosynthesis in Chlorella vulgaris llh, which are inducedby adaptation of cells to low CO₂, were suppressed by the additionof glucose to the growth medium. The results show that phenomenainduced by decreases in CO₂ are controlled by glucose or itsmetabolites. (Received July 11, 1990; Accepted December 25, 1990)
