Molecular oxygen as electron acceptor in the NADH-nitrate reductase system |

| Abstract: | This paper describes first experimental evidence that dissolved molecular oxygen acts as an electron acceptor in the NADH-nitrate reductase system. The molecular mechanism and possible physiological implications on the induction mechanism of nitrate reductase by nitrate ion are discussed. |
