Abstract: | Yersinia enterocolitica biotype 1 serotype 5a was repeatedly isolated from pasteurized milk in the same holding vat at a particular dairy factory. It is considered that the occurrence of this organism in pasteurized milk may be partially attributed to its ability to multiply at refrigeration temperatures and survive in inadequately 'disinfected' vats. |
