| Abstract: | A latex agglutination kit for S. enteritidis was evaluated on 155 field isolates from 29 serotypes from Denmark, All but one of the S. enteritidis isolates were correctly identified by the kit, and none of the isolates of other serotypes tested were identified as S. enteritidis. The results indicate a very high degree of specificity and sensitivity for the SEF14 monoclonal antibody, which forms the basis of the test. |
