Along with the research and extensive applications of DNA microarray technology, gene expression data analysis has become a hotspot in life science field. This paper first summarized technique types for clustering gene expression data, classification and char- acter of algorithms, and cluster visualization and annotation. Second, it illustrated paradigms of some fashionable and new type algo- rithms. Then, it introduced 17 latest software packages and online web services that relate to clustering analysis of gene expression data. At last, it discussed the development trends in this field.
