| Abstract: | Polymerase Chain Reaction, based on amplification of a fragment of Dth18 gene, was applied to detect and specifically to identify Listeria monocytogenes present in silages. About 15 CFU g–1 of fresh or fermented vegetables have been routinely detected using this rapid technique. |
