Abstract: | The photosynthetic characteristics of several wetland plants and their influence on oxygen-evolving activities and disposal efficiencies of horizontal flow subsurface constructed wetlands were compared. The results indicated that the photosynthetic rate of wetlands plants was highly correlated with light intensity and temperature. The photosynthetic characteristics of wetlands species can affect their ability to provide oxygen, and this ultimately influences their disposal efficiencies. Observations indicated that the ability of wetland plants to provide oxygen and remove pollutants decreases in the following order: Phragmites > Canna > Camellia > Dracaena. |
