Abstract: | The authors used an ultraviolet laser as an excitation source to obtain fluorescence spectra from 4 μl of solution, or 0.1 μl equivalent of powder. A sensitivity of 0.1 part per trillion quinine sulfate was obtained. The system was sufficiently sensitive to detect Raman shifts. A measurement of the degree of fluorescence polarization was made. |
