摘    要:植物mRNA的降解对于维持其生化和细胞学的功能都是必需的,而且这种降解要根据植物发育和外界环境的变化进行及时的调整。与酵母和哺乳动物相比,人们对植物mRNA的降解机制了解较少。对近几年来该领域的研究进展进行总结,包括参与植物mRNA降解的酶类和基因芯片技术的应用,以及mRNA降解的生物学意义等。

Abstract:Proper degradation of plant messenger RNA is crucial for the maintenance of biochemical and cellular functions,and it must be properly regulated to enable rapid adjustments in response to endogenous and external cues.Compared with fungal and mammalian model systems,much less is known about the mechanisms of mRNA decay in plants.Nevertheless,a good number of findings in recent years have reasserted the central position of the regulated mRNA decay in plant physiology.Combined with the advent of widely accessible microarray platforms,these advances allow for a renewed hope of rapid progress in our understanding of the fundamental rules governing regulated mRNA degradation in plants.
