Abstract: | A computer program has been devised to automate rationalizationof peptide fragmentation patterns. The program systematicallygenerates all possible linear amino acid sequences which mightbe attributable to a peptide with a known amino acid composition. The generated sequences are then searched to find those thatmost closely match the spectrum of an unknown sequence.
