Abstract: | Nicotine adversely affected the germination, germination relative index (GRI), radicle and plumule length, and seedling vigour of rice but affected favourably the growth of maize. Also, inin vivo conditions nicotine increased height, specific leaf weight and chlorophyll content of the maize plant. |
