Abstract: | In a study of pathogenic fungi infecting Buxus sincia , an interesting Phyllosticta species was isolated. The morphological characteristics of this species, such as slow growing mycelia, large conidia each with a long flagellum tag on diagnostic media, plus phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rDNA ITS sequences indicated that the fungus is a distinct new species which is described. |
