| Abstract: | A Mac-ELISA for rapid diagnosis of dengue infection was developed. The dengue virus antigen was prepared in C6/36 cell line. 72 cases sus cepted of dengue fever in the clinic were tested, by days after onset of illness. The positive rates were as follows. 1-3th day 35%; 4-7th day 69%; 8-16th day 95.3%. In two other cases the IgM antibody was still positive 30 days after the onset of illness. There was no cross reaction between Japanese B encephalitis and dengue fever in IgM tests. |
