Abstract: | KHSO5, a water soluble single oxygen donor, is shown to be capable of activating bleomycin-FeIII complex for DNA cleavage. DNA breaks mediated by bleomycin-FeIII in the presence of H2O2 or KHSO5 are compared and the P450-like activation of metallobleomycins is discussed. |
