| Abstract: | Apparent and intrinsic kinetic parameters of substrate decomposition were estimated from the profiles of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and volatile fatty acids (VFA) concentrations along the length of the horizontal-flow anaerobic immobilized sludge (HAIS) reactor. The first order substrate utilization kinetic model describes well the experimental data. |
