| Abstract: | Pyrones, named nigrosporapyrones A-D (1-4), and five known compounds were isolated from the marine-derived fungus Nigrospora PSU-F18. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic evidence. The antibacterial activity against the standard Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and methicillin-resistant S. aureus was evaluated. |
