| Abstract: | Protein degradation is accomplished by a diverse collection of proteases. Recent studies have illustrated the importance of proteolysis in the control of many aspects of cellular regulation from photosynthesis to photomorphogenesis. In addition, new results point to a role for proteolysis in programmed cell death, circadian rhythm, and defense response in plants. |
