| Abstract: | Horn's markovian model of forest succession is discussed. Interesting dynamic behavior and different domains of attraction arise when the replacement probabilities are density dependent. Explicit light-gap opening and colonization terms are introduced to make the model useful in tropical rain forests dynamics. |
