Abstract:Objective To study the distribution and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria in amniotic fluid sample from women with premature rupture of membranes for rational use of antibiotics in clinic.Method 199 amniotic fluid samples of women with premature rupture of membranes from maternity department of our hospital from April 2009 to July 2010 were cultured;pure strains were isolated and identified.Drug-susceptibility tests were done by VITEK-2 automicroscan.Result Among the 199 amniotic fluid samples,19 were infected by bacteria.The total detection rate was 9.55%.The infection of G-bacteria accounted for 68.4%,whereas G+ bacteria 31.6%.The strain with the highest isolating rate was E.coli(57.9%).The antibiotic sensitivity of E.coli to ampicillin were low(50%).Conclusion Gram-Negative bacillis are the main pathogens isolated in amniotic fluid samples of women with premature rupture of membranes.It is important to use antibiotics rationally according to drug sensitivity test and the feature of Perinatal infection.
