Abstract: | Species of the genus Amphicoma are phytophagous generalists but have poorly developed mushroom bodies with a minute calyx and single (undivided) pedunculus and lobes of concentric structure. Thus, in this respect Amphicoma are closer to the dung scarab beetles regarded as specialist feeders (Farris and Roberts, 2005). |
