Direct Gene Transfer by Liposomes

Abstract

Cationic liposomes are widely used for the delivery of genes both in vivo and in clinical trials. DC-chol liposome formulation was developed by us for relatively high activity of transfection and low level of toxicity for most cell types. Different strategies are described for achieving regulated transgene expression as well as expression for a prolonged period of time using DC-chol liposomes.
