Southern Idaho Plain: |
| |
Abstract: | AbstractIt is proposed that a new pottery type referred to as “Southern Idaho Plain” be recognized to distinguish a more finely made pottery than the classic thick walled, flat-bottomed vessels characteristically referred to as “Shoshoni” ware. Strong similarities of this pottery with Great Salt Lake Gray variants, suggests the extension of a Fremont or Sevier pottery tradition into southern Idaho. |
