| Abstract: | A microsomal preparation from the aleurone layer pre-treatedwith GA or H-ol had the ability to synthesize  -amylase whenit was incubated with an appropriate medium. -Amylase synthesiswas inhibited by the addition of p-fluorophenylalanine or bypre-treatment with RNase.
