| Abstract: | Peripheral lamina were isolated from rat liver nuclei and probed with a monoclonal antibody reactive against a common domain of all intermediate filament (IF) proteins. The antibody reacted against lamins A and C as expected from their known sequence homology with IF proteins. Lamin B was also recognized by the antibody. These results indicate that lamin B, despite important biochemical differences vs lamins A and C, also shares sequence homology with IF proteins. |
