Abstract: | Visible ringworm infection did not appear on a male raccoon captured in Bexar County, Texas. Shaving the abdomen of the animal caused the appearance of typical ringworm infection within a few months.Trichophyton mentagrophytes was isolated from the infected area. This is the first report on theTrichophyton infection in this animal. |
