| Abstract: | Pediocin PA-1 was conjugated with keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) and used to immunize rabbits and mice for the production of polyclonal (PAb) and monoclonal (MAb) antibodies. Titers of PAb and MAb of about 4.7 and 2.9 were obtained after three and six immunizations, respectively. An enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for the detection and quantification of pediocin. |
