摘    要:刺激猫中脑中央灰质发音区可引起动物发音、情绪反应以及心律异常、血压升高等变化。同时,本研究还揭示,分别在中脑中央灰质嘴侧和尾侧发音区注入辣根过氧化物酶后,其逆行标记神经元分布相类似;但是,中脑中央灰质发音区和非发音区的传入联系则互不相同。


RESPONSES INDUCED BY ELECTRICAL STIMULATION OF VOCALIZATION AREAS OF MIDBRAIN CENTRAL GRAY IN CATS AND AFFERENT CONNECTIONS OF THESE AREAS

Abstract:Observations of the responses induced by electrical stimulation of some areas of the midbrain central gray (mCG) at the levels of the nucleus of oculomotor nerve and the nucleus of the trochlear nerve in 23 cats were made. The afferent connections of .these areas have been studied by horseradish peroxidase (HRP) method for retrograde tracing.Results showed that stimulation of the vocalization areas in the ventrolateral portion of mCG produced not only vocalization and emotional responses but also arrhythmia, elevation of blood pressure, alteration in both rate and amplitude of respiration, and asynchronous electroencephalogram in slightly anesthetized cats. However, neither vocalization nor emotional response could be elicited by stimulation of the nonvocalization areas in the medial subdivision and dorsolateral portions of mCG.The study by HRP demonstrated that the distribution of retrogradely labelled neurons after injecting HRP into the vocalization area of mCG at the level of the nucleus of the oculomotor nerve was similar to that at the level of the nucleus of the trochlear nerve. However, the labelled neurons found in the hypothalamus, telencephalon and mesencephalon projecting to the rostral mCG are more numerous than those projecting to the caudal mCG.The affrent connections of the vocalization area differ from those of the nonvocalization areas, which produced no vocalization when being stimulated, in the medical subdivision and dorsolateral portions of the mCG.
