| Abstract: | A system to improve the yield of neoviridogrisein II, in which the cis-4-hydroxy-d-proline is replaced with d-proline, was devised by selective inhibition of the hydroxylation of l-proline with zinc ion in a chemically defined medium. Zinc ion opposed the ferrous ion in the hydroxylation system of Streptomyces griseoviridus P8648. |
