| Abstract: | A 1:1 mixture of (Z, Z)-3,13-octadecadien-1-ol and its (E, Z)-isomer was synthesized by a Wittig reaction whose stereoselectivity was adjusted to give the products in the required ratio. The corresponding acetate mixture is useful as the attractant for Synanthedon hector. |
