Abstract: | A precursor of a known long life free radical species which gives a triplet ESR signal was detected among the reaction products of dehydroascorbic acid and amino acids. Experimentally, this compound was transformed to the radical species by dilution with 1: 1 pyridinewater or some buffer solutions of pH 5~7. The yield of the precursor was significantly improved by the addition of ascorbic acid to the reaction system. |
