Abstract: | The photoautotrophic culture medium for Cytisus scoparius Link cells was improved. Linsmaier and Skoog medium was modified by adding a 4-fold concentration of phosphate and lowering the auxin concentration (a-naphthaleneacetic acid 10?6M). Concentrations of all the inorganic elements except phosphate in the original basal medium were adequate for the photoautotrophic growth of Cytisus cells. A high concentration of cytokinin compensated for the inhibition of growth caused by a high concentration of auxin. |
