| Abstract: | A synthesis (+) and (−) 7-α-hydroxy-5,11-diketo-tetranor prostanoic acid (Ia) and 7-α-hydroxy-5,11-diketotetranor prostan-1,16-dioic acid (Ib) is described. The biological activities of these C16 metabolites are also discussed. |
