Enzyme loading of nucleated chicken erythrocytes |

| Abstract: | Exogenous enzymes can be loaded into nucleated chicken erythrocytes by hypotonic hemolysis. The hemolysed and resealed cells retain the ability to activate transport ions and to survive while circulating in the blood of chickens. It is proposed that these cells may be useful for the investigation of several aspects of cellular biochemistry. |
