Abstract: | Fifteen trace elements have been tested to determine the requirements for the growth of Phellinus pachypholeus Pat. The fungus requires in ppm, Fe: 10, Zn: 10–100, Mn: 1.0, Cu: 1.0, Mo: 1.0, B: 10.0–100. It does not require Ca, Pb, Br, I, Cr, Hg, W, Li or Cd. Concentrations higher than the optimum were progressively inhibitory for its growth. |
