| Abstract: | Summary In a constant 12 h, 50 min equatorial photoperiod postjuvenile moult started earlier and lasted shorter in European stonechats than in their African conspecifics. F1-hybrids showed an intermediary time course of moult indicating that the differences found between these two subspecies are genetically determined. |
