| Abstract: | The concept, distribution, and taxonomy of psychrophiles and/or psychrotrophs are introduced in this paper. At the same time the mechanism of low temperature resistance of them is expounded from the characteristics of cell structure and their biological macromolecules. The perspective of their application, theoretical research is also prospected. |
