Abstract: | Three isoenzymes of NAD-malate dehydrogenase are constitutive to many strains of maize. Two are mitochondrial and a third is cytosolic. Evidence presented here indicates that additional forms can be generated by pH 5.0 treatment of homogenates, although the purified isoenzymes are insensitive to the treatment. |
